About the business

The Wellbeing Circle is a community wellbeing hub that offers a range of health services, including one-to-one complimentary therapy sessions, holistic exercise classes and personalised wellbeing support.

Through attending local workshops and advice about where to look for funding, Business Gateway has helped us enhance our website and grow our online presence. This has helped us directly engage and communicate with our clients throughout the pandemic.

How Business Gateway has helped

Through a range of support targeted towards helping The Wellbeing Circle start-up, the business has grown their online presence, following the launch of virtual consultations.

The Wellbeing Circle provide personalised wellbeing support via a partnership with a pharmacist to create an anonymous data collection of how alternative therapies helps individual wellbeing. This is the first of its kind to create evidence-based studies and data to show how alternative therapies can improve mental and physical wellbeing.

They also provided free yoga classes to mental health charity members in Stirling with the support of funds from the local council.

Through Business Gateway, owner Siobhan and her team received guidance on company regulations and her local adviser also put her in touch with a local intellectual property consultant. Business Gateway also signposted the Wellbeing Circle to European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) support which help them access vital funding.

The team recently came third in the recent #THEHEAT21 competition, a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style competition for the Forth Valley region, run by Business Gateway. This provided the business with exposure across the local area and provided valuable networking opportunities.

Siobhan Hencher, Founder of The Wellbeing Circle, said: “Through attending local workshops and advice about where to look for funding, Business Gateway has helped us enhance our website and grow our online presence. This has helped us directly engage and communicate with our clients throughout the pandemic, and we are confident about our ability to offer our services via digital means.”

“#THEHEAT21 was also a fantastic opportunity to engage with other members of the business community, and following our success in this competition, we are confident about our future success in 2021.”

Maggie Gorman, adviser, Business Gateway, said: “Siobhan and her team have quickly adapted to the current climate, taking advantage of digital technologies to communicate with their clients, which will place them in a strong position for the rest of the year as they focus on continued growth.”
