About the business

Operating in Dunoon and Oban, Argyll Financial Services provides practical and tailored financial advice across a range of services including investments, savings, mortgages and protection.

Working with Business Gateway, we received the much-needed funding advice that we have been after, resulting in our business being able to grow rapidly and take the next step forward with confidence.

How Business Gateway has helped

Argyll Financial Services recently moved into upgraded premises for a new fit-for-purpose office space, supported by a Growth Grant from the Business Gateway Local Growth Accelerator Programme, funded by Argyll and Bute Council and the European Regional Development Fund.

Ian Cairns, director of Argyll Financial Services said: “Working with Business Gateway, we received the much-needed funding advice that we have been after, resulting in our business being able to grow rapidly, taking the next step forward with confidence.

“The grant enabled us to refurbish our new, larger premises to a very high standard much quicker than I had ever anticipated. Business Gateway also supported us with a grant towards a stand at the Ideal Home Show, which gave us an excellent opportunity to reach a wider audience.”

Barbara Halliday, Business Adviser at Business Gateway Argyll and Bute said: “The firm’s new, larger premises will allow the business to grow and, even in the short time since they have taken up residence, develop their brand awareness, professional credibility and PR exposure.”
