What to expect from this event
Joining us is guest speaker Emma Miller, business growth enabler at Royal Bank of Scotland.
According to The Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship, a new government-backed report carried out by Alison Rose, CEO of commercial and private banking at NatWest, only one in three UK entrepreneurs are female.
Statistics also highlighted that UK women are less likely to take business concepts through to creation, while being half as likely to scale their businesses.
Recognising this issue, Royal Bank of Scotland has teamed up with Crowdfunder to support more women with businesses start-up through the launch of the first female-only crowdfunding programme - ‘Back Her Business’.
Emma Miller will delve into the finer details about ‘Back Her Business’, informing attendees about the benefits of the programme which include nurturing females and helping them to benefit from coaching, networking, events and opportunities to meet relatable role models. She will also discuss her role as business growth enabler, and how this allows her to add value to the ecosystem she operates in.
In addition, our business advisers, Debbie and Nicola, will give you an insight into the invaluable support Business Gateway can offer in Aberdeen City and Shire, while you mingle with like-minded and motivated individuals.
