What to expect from this webinar

business needs a website, it’s the digital equivalent of your business card.
If the budget is tight, then you might prefer to build one yourself. In this
90 minute webinar we’ll discuss what makes a great website, how to plan it
out and how to create it using WordPress. We'll begin this webinar with a brief outline of some of the basic components of a business website. What pages do you need to create, what messages do you want to tell, what the purpose of your website actually is? You'll be shown how to create a WordPress account for free and you’ll be shown a demo of the WordPress Block Editor. From here you’ll be shown how to choose a theme (a design), create some basic webpages, and be introduced to blogging. We’ll also discuss topics like SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), how your website fits into your digital strategy and how to customise your website. Duration: The webinar will be 90 minutes in duration with a 30 minute Q&A session at the end. As this workshop is funded by Argyll and Bute Council for the benefit of Argyll and Bute businesses.
