Created in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the annual Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award champions the success of business women worldwide who share the same qualities as Madame Clicquot: Her enterprising spirit, her courage and the determination necessary to accomplish her aims. Highly prized and sought after, it is the first international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women have made to business life and is now regarded as the “Oscar” for female entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Consistent with the company’s international scope, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is now awarded in 27 countries. In the United Kingdom, the award celebrates the best of British female talent in business. Previous winners include Harriet Green, Dame Zaha Hadid DBE, Anya Hindmarch MBE, Michelle McDowell MBE FREng, Laura Tenison MBE, Carolyn McCall OBE, Patricia Vaz OBE, Anita Roddick DBE, Linda Bennett OBE.
The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award Team will respond to all applications by the end of January 2017.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted in mid January 2017 for further information or to arrange a meeting with the Judging Panel Members, if necessary. The winner will be announced at a high profile Veuve Clicquot Champagne reception on 8th May 2017.
