Jackson Accident Repair Centre accelerates growth with strategic investment

Jackson Accident Repair Centre, a long‑established family business in Kelty, continues to strengthen its position as one of Fife’s most trusted vehicle repair specialists.

Founded in 1969 by William Jackson, the company has grown from a small workshop into a team of eight skilled technicians, renowned for restoring cars and motorcycles to their former glory.

Today the business is run by the second generation of the family, Stuart Jackson. “For more than five decades, our focus has been precision, quality, and genuine care for our customers,” Stuart Jackson explained. “That commitment is what keeps people coming back, whether it’s a minor scrape or a major repair.”

With ambitions to expand into more insurance work and secure additional contracts, including the renewal of their Fife Council repair agreement, the business turned to Business Gateway Fife for guidance. Business Adviser Samir Rhazali supported the company during a key period of strategic development. He said, “Jackson’s had a clear vision for growth. Our role was to help them access the right funding, expertise and connections to make that vision achievable.”

In late 2024, the company installed airtight shutter doors to contain fumes and volatile organic compounds during paintwork, reducing emissions and supporting its net zero ambitions. Around a third of the cost was covered by an SME grant funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The business also invested in a 32.5 kW solar panel and battery system, supported by the Fife Investment Fund. Additional support included introductions to energy consultant Steve Wilson, a Skills for Growth Review from Skills Development Scotland, and recruitment support through the Fife Job Contract.

Today, Jackson Accident Repair Centre offers a complete accident management service, including vehicle collection, courtesy cars, and support with personal injury claims. As Stuart puts it, “We want customers to feel completely looked after, with no stress and no surprises.”

With renewed momentum and a modernised operation, the business is well‑positioned for its next chapter of growth.
