FrontTier media taking sports filming to another level
Fronttier Media, founded in 2023 by St Andrews native, Ciaran Hynd, is rapidly establishing itself as a leading force in sports filmmaking.
With a background working alongside professional rugby clubs across the UK and later as a videographer with DC Thomson in Dundee, Ciaran brings extensive industry experience and a sharp creative eye to every project. His studio now produces high‑impact sports films and visual content for clients ranging from local businesses to global organisations and governing bodies.
Ciaran currently works with several Fife-based clients, including The R&A, Ancient Golf Links, Frankly Golf, University of St Andrews, Zone One Coffee, St Andrews Coach Houses, and Madras Rugby Club. “Fife is home, and with my network in St Andrews, it’s likely I’ll always have active projects here,” he explained, “But my work also takes me across the UK and beyond. For example, I was in France for sport work last week.”
Built on the belief that great stories can change lives, FrontTier Media focuses on powerful storytelling, whether capturing dawn training sessions or high‑pressure international moments. Detail, emotion, and impact sit at the heart of every production.
As a Business Gateway Fife client, Ciaran has benefited from Strategic guidance by Business Adviser, Alasdair Busby, whose support has helped shape the company’s growth.
FrontTier Media’s portfolio includes work with World Rugby, and other major brands, with content featured on Sky Sports and the BBC. Now operating from a dedicated workspace in Dundee, the studio is expanding its network of creative freelancers and pursuing even bigger stories as it continues to push the boundaries of sports filmmaking.
