Forthstride Consulting: Helping leaders navigate complexity with confidence
Leven-based business, Forthstride Consulting, is carving out a distinctive role in Scotland’s coaching and governance landscape, supporting individuals, boards and organisations to make better decisions and plan for the future.
The business provides coaching for individuals and teams, governance training, and practical tools to help clients manage change and uncertainty with clarity.
Founder Geoffrey Proudlock brings more than three decades of cross sector experience spanning education, the public sector, the creative industries and the third sector. His senior leadership background, including his role as Director of Faculty at Fife College, combined with over 30 years as a Non Executive Director, gives him a deep understanding of how organisations function and how they can work better.
He also specialises in supporting neurodivergent clients, currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Neurodiversity at Arden University. Through the Access to Work scheme, he is coaching 25 clients and providing weekly study skills support to 10 students, creating tailored coaching plans that help individuals thrive.
Geoffrey explained, “My short term and long term goals are really to help my clients understand their strengths and uniqueness and use them to make a positive impact in a world that was built for the majority, not everybody.”
Client feedback reflects that impact. One recent testimonial noted, “I’m starting to believe in myself and have more confidence. I always felt understood and not judged, and the strategies have been really useful. Your patience, encouragement and understanding have made a real difference.”
As a Business Gateway Fife client, Geoffrey has been supported by Senior Business Adviser Fraser MacKee, who secured Specialist Business Advice for Forthstride’s online presence and encouraged Geoffrey’s engagement with Business Gateway’s courses and webinars. Fraser said, “As he reaches his first anniversary of Forthstride, it’s been great to support Geoffrey as he builds a business with such meaningful impact.”
