Business Start Up Fund
The Business Start Up Fund provides grant support to help new businesses in North Lanarkshire get up and running or grow in their early stages.
100% funding of up to £1,000 or £3,000 is available, depending on your business set-up, to support essential costs such as equipment, digital investment, website development and stock.

Business Growth Fund
The Business Growth Fund supports SMEs (with less than 250 employees) to grow and develop, with a focus on projects that increase turnover, create jobs, boost productivity, and strengthen digital and environmental performance.
Eligible projects are 50% grant-funded and businesses can apply for up to £20,000 in grant funding per grant application. A maximum of two grant applications can be submitted to the Fund within a 24-month timeframe.

The types of projects that can be supported through the fund include:
- Capital expenditure - up to £20,000
- Infrastructure improvement - up to £20,000
- Workforce or skills development - up to £5,000
- Exhibition support - up to £4,000

Town Centre Retail Business Fund
The Town Centre Retail Business Fund is a pilot grant scheme aimed at supporting new and existing SMEs (with fewer than 250 employees) located within North Lanarkshire’s town centres.
Applications should be developed and submitted jointly between landlord and tenant.
Businesses can apply for up to a maximum award amount of £20,000 per premise. Grant funding is only available for up to 50% of eligible net costs. This means applicants must secure the remaining 50% (or more) through private sector funding, plus VAT and delivery costs. Only one application per premise may be submitted over the scheme duration.
