About the business
Designing hand-crafts relaxation and cosmetic products, from bath bombs and bath salts to body and foot scrubs, Crafted Comforts is an online store which delivers to destinations throughout the UK, whilst maintaining a strong local presence in shops across Moray and Aberdeenshire.
Each product created at Crafted Comforts is hand-made and therefore unique, which is an important differentiating factor for the business. Lewis believes in the use of simple, raw ingredients for all products, hence why the company is committed to using only 100% organic essential oils and fragrance oils, which are known to enhance relaxation.

How Business Gateway has helped
In the beginning, Lewis dedicated a significant portion of time to product testing, offering samples of various inventions to his friends and family to try. Although he received a considerable amount of positive feedback, Lewis soon acknowledged that he knew very little about the formal procedures involved in setting up a business, so he turned to Business Gateway which helped him pinpoint crucial gaps in his business plan.

Crafted Comforts is dedicated to protecting the environment, using recyclable or reusable packaging wherever possible to reduce landfill. Moving forward, one of Lewis’ main goals is to make all products vegan and vegetarian friendly.
