About the business
The pair quit their jobs in 2022 to launch a street food business from a food truck, drawing on Sian’s experience as a chef in several high-profile establishments. Trading began in April that year, and within just seven weeks they were named finalists in the Scottish Street Food Awards.

How Business Gateway has helped
Encouraged by their early success, they expanded the business by opening a licensed street food restaurant with support from Business Gateway Fife and Fife Council.
An opportunity arose in November 2024 to take over the former fine-dining venue, The Cellar in Anstruther, where they opened the Cellar at 24, introducing a fresh concept centred on seasonal small plates and carefully selected wine pairings.
The restaurant has now launched its Autumn 2026 menu, showcasing the best of local produce.
Owner and chef Sian said, “Our small plates are predominantly crafted from produce sourced locally, from people we trust, whether caught, grown or crafted. We like to keep things relaxed with no pressure, nor dress codes. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy some good food and drink in a comfortable environment, for all tastes and budgets.”
Nicola added, “We never imagined, when we bought our first food truck, where the journey would take us. Every change has brought new challenges, but we've stayed focused on creating a welcoming dining experience for our customers.”
Sian said the response has been overwhelming. “We have been amazed by the feedback and reviews. We even had a Valentine’s wedding proposal take place here in our first year.”

Alongside running the thriving Cellar at 24, the couple have also welcomed two young children, making their business success all the more remarkable.
