This course is designed to help third sector organisations explore and understand the different structures available to them, from charitable trusts and community interest companies to cooperatives and social enterprises. Participants will gain an overview of the advantages and limitations of each model, including governance requirements, funding opportunities, and regulatory obligations. The course will also provide practical guidance on aligning structure with mission, values, and long-term sustainability, enabling organisations to make informed decisions that best support their goals and the communities they serve.
This session will provide an overview of:
- Types of structures.
- Third Sector Good Business Practice.
- The Responsibilities of the Trustee.
- Financial, Strategic Financial and Strategic Management Tasks.
A short and sharp session which will be practical and results-oriented. The aim will be to have each attendee to look at what they are planning and start off right and if already started re-examining their own organisation and start to consider the area where they have “pain points”, areas where they need to start to review and re-focus on.
