Thinking about starting a business, but know your brain works differently?

This interactive workshop is designed for neurodivergent people exploring self-employment - including those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other forms of neurodiversity.

Many neurodivergent people thrive in business. The flexibility of working around your own energy levels, having control over your environment, and building a business around your interests or specialist knowledge can make self-employment a natural fit.

But starting a business also comes with challenges - especially around structure, focus and the day-to-day practicalities of running a business.

In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to work with your brain, not against it, including:

  • Managing time and prioritising tasks
  • Improving focus and getting things finished
  • Building systems that reduce overwhelm
  • Tackling the “business side” (finance, admin, planning and marketing) in manageable ways
  • Using your strengths, creativity and specialist interests as your advantage

This is a supportive, practical workshop designed to help you get started in a way that works for you.

Please include anything that would help you in the Accessibility box on the booking form so we can help you get the most from the session.

For people based in City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian only. We will record the session, but it will be shared with attendees only - please cancel if you aren't able to attend.
