Kyloe Partners sets sights on future growth

Kyloe-case-study

Since launching last year with support from Business Gateway, Orkney based software development company Kyloe Partners has undergone a rapid expansion.

Utilising business planning advice from their Business Gateway adviser, owners Stewart Morgan and Raymond Pennie have created a market leading company that now has a portfolio of clients in the UK and overseas, an 18 strong workforce and offices in Kirkwall and London.

Kyloe builds software products for SME clients based on the market leading Bullhorn online CRM system. With plans to take on more people in the UK as well as establishing a presence in the US by taking on American based employees, Kyloe is committed to not only expanding, but providing opportunities for people interested in careers in software development.

Stewart said: “We knew from the start how we wanted to develop Kyloe however, there were some areas where we needed a bit of advice. Business Gateway’s expert advice allowed us to implement a long term business plan. Our Business Gateway adviser’s guidance on graduate recruitment was invaluable. We certainly wouldn’t have been in a position to recruit so early without Business Gateway’s help.”

Euan Smith, Business Adviser, Business Gateway, said: “We have supported Kyloe over the last year assisting them in recruitment and strategy planning. Our expert advice has helped Stewart and Raymond make their plans a reality and they are in the perfect position to expand and develop the company even further in the future.”

With the business now established Stewart and the team are looking to the future with the long term plans to steadily build Kyloe in the US and help more companies across the world get real value from their Bullhorn investment.

“In essence we work in partnership with Bullhorn to transfer old legacy software to a best of breed platform on The Cloud,” said Stewart. “We work across a number or areas including project management, solution architecture, technical architecture and software development.

“The business has made a good start and we are currently working on projects across the UK, the Netherlands, Australia, the USA and even Iraq. We also want to continue our work with local institutions to nurture talent for the future. Recently, we had three students in working with us and we will to do this again next summer. People are very important to us and we now have a healthy workforce which we will be increasing over the next few months.”
