Management Masterclass - Roles & Responsibilities

The programme of Management Masterclasses is aimed at individuals taking their first steps into management or supervisory roles.

What to expect from this event

Business Gateway is pleased to offer a series of Management Masterclasses to local employers. These classes are aimed at individuals taking their first steps into management or supervisory roles, and are intended to provide attendees with the confidence and techniques with which to become productive managers.

This Masterclass is designed with new managers in mind, to help provide skills and knowledge for those making the step from ‘shopfloor’ to management, and to allow those who are already in management roles to assess their own practices through discussion.

Roles and Responsibilities - This unit concentrates on the roles and responsibilities of a ‘frontline’ manager and covers:

  • What does a manager do
  • Knowledge, skills and attitude
  • Approaches
  • Case studies

The Management Masterclasses are split up into seven units covering different management requirements and techniques - those interested can sign up for the whole series or pick the unit that suits them best. Other units in the series are:

  • Working With Your Team - 25 February
  • Planning Ahead / Time Management - 2 March
  • Performance Management - 10 March
  • Change Management - 17 March
  • Roles and Responsibilities - 17 April
  • Managing People - 24 April
  • Delivering the Service - 1 May

Due to demand, this workshop is limited to two spaces per company/organisation.
