What to expect from this event
With revised regulation on energy efficiency and investment, energy cost changes, supply chain impacts and new customer preferences resulting from the climate emergency, it is clear that SMEs will be affected by climate change. Whilst the majority of SME’s agree that climate change is an issue, understanding of the impacts that this will have on individual businesses remains unclear. Whilst most SMEs recognise they can and should do more to reduce their environmental impact, often owners and managers struggle to find the time and money to invest in energy savings. Some businesses can also be put off by not knowing what actions to take and thinking that they’ll all be expensive.
It is crucial to ensure that your business can adapt, to not only the changing climate but also the shift in consumer priorities and new duties of care required to participate in larger supply chains.
Information and support is here to help your business thrive in this changing environment. Advice from experts will be available on ; access to funding and grants; training on how to become more sustainable and advice from local experts acting as point of contact for future queries.
Speakers from Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Savings Trust, Scottish Enterprise and Falkirk Council will present at this joint event by Business Gateway and FSB.
