Application for a theatre licence under Theatres Act 1968

This service lets you submit a form and its related documentation online.

If you run a theatre to be used for public performance of plays it must be licensed by Clackmannanshire Council. Licences are valid for 1 year. Conditions may be imposed.

Fees will be payable with the licence application.

The authority will charge a fee of £ 85.00 that you will pay online to process your application. The fee is the same whether you apply online or by post (businesslink.gov.uk or UK Welcomes do not charge an additional fee for online applications).

The following supporting documents are required and can be uploaded:

  • Scale plan of the premises ( mandatory )
  • Public Liability Insurance certificate ( mandatory )
  • Risk assessment ( mandatory )
  • Fire Risk Assessment ( mandatory )

What files can be uploaded?

The following file types can be uploaded

Documents: DOC, PDF, TXT, XLS

Images: JPG, TIF, GIF, BMP, PNG

Video: MPG, AVI, WMV

CAD files: PDF, TIF, PLT

ZIP files are not accepted

Size limits

For a single file: 5MB

Combined size for all files for one application: 25MB
